Zeal

The first deluding zeal walks to slumber
And your zest ends in an exercise in laziness.
You experiment with truth and deal out its versions

But there's no denying that you do the job,
And give us the roof we need over our heads -
But the tiles are falling
There's a huge gap above us
And the brooding clouds spit rain at us.
The next minister files in.
Will you fill the gap,
Or will you tear it all down?
